January 1, 2009 - New Years Day House Fire - 146 p.m.: The company was dispatched for smoke coming from the building at 111 E. Wisteria Rd. Upon arrival crews found a working room and contents fire on the 1st floor of a 1-1/2-story unoccupied dwelling. Quint 439's crew effected a quick knockdown as E438 laid the supply line. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries in falls on icy surfaces, one on a rear exterior stairway (transported by Wildwood Crest Rescue to Cape Regional Medical Center as a precaution) and one on the icy street (treated at the scene). |
